My sister and I were talking about her nurse uniforms; well her old ones do not fit her anymore. She was asking me for some ideas on which would fit her best especially since she has grown a little bigger than when she used to wear nurse uniforms.
She used to work for a community center but had to stop working because she had to concentrate on her youngest daughter who was having some problems going to school. She tried to apply again but looking for a job here in the Philippines is difficult especially because you only have few choices. The first one has been the controversial issue regarding volunteer work wherein you have to work for about 6 months in a hospital without getting paid. The point of the hospitals is that they don’t get paid but they learn another specialized nursing program, like working on dialysis apparatus or equipment. They actually have terms for these specialized works but I can’t remember anymore. But I digress.
Anyway, she starts working again next month. Unfortunately her old nurse uniforms are long gone, given to some while others do not fit her anymore. So, I told her to check online because there are so many online uniform stores that offer quality medical scrubs at very affordable prices. The only problem would be sending it out here in the Philippines, which would of course make it more, so much more expensive. On the other hand she can take a look at those which she thinks would suit her and simply ask a good seamstress to copy some styles of the nurse uniforms. Uhmm, easily said than done. She asked me to do it and voila, I was able to see some which she could choose from…and boy did I love browsing. There are so many styles available, making it more difficult for me to choose. So, I just chose some basic styles plus a more feminine style that will look nice in different colors.
